Although my birthday isn’t till tomorrow I did have a birthday party this weekend. I think it went well, organised marvellously by Mr Chick and my Mum. I really loved the chance to finally wear my Vivien of Holloway dress with underskirt and I felt very glamorous swishing around with all those skirts!
We had a marvellous swing style singer, though by the end of the evening we’d pretty much managed to turn it into karoke.
The cake was made by Mr Chick himself, and he had the common sense not to try and put a candle for each year of my age on it. Clever…..
Though it still caused a fair bit of smoke…..
I was also so touched to receive some fantastic thoughtful gifts including some vintage cocktail rings, one of which I wore that night, a fantastic necklace from The Boho Boutique and a beautiful clutch which goes perfectly with my outfit for a wedding on Friday. I had a wonderful time and it was so many to have such great friends there and I want to thank them all for coming and making the evening so wonderful.
Tomorrow is my actual birthday, and I am off to see a preview of the EA Sports Active game. I am technically on holiday this week, but normal service will be resumed the week after with some lovely new listings for the shop, and, if you’re lucky, some proper blog posts!
