Birthday Shenanigans

Today is my birthday.

I know, you probably forgot, but there’s still time to arrange for a courier to bring me cake and champagne.

I share a birthday with Mr Chick, so we make a bit of an event of it, and like any self respecting grown up extend it for an entire weekend at least. Today we will be shopping, lunching, going to the cinema, having a lovely dinner and eating the delicious macaroons that Karen from The Fabulous Miss K bought us as a birthday gift.

I’ve also got a hummingbird brooch from my Mum & Dad, some amazing 1950s girls annuals from Zoe at Norwich Skill Swap a box of “random crap” including some tiny dogs, a sugar mouse and a not crap at all handmade hair clip from Betsy Hatter  and some malibu flavoured cupcakes (which we’ve already scoffed) from Cupcakes by Jess. I have lovely and very talented friends.

I have no doubt I’ll be instagramming my way through the day today, and round Rotterdam the rest of this week, but for now I shall head off to wait for all those couriers with champagne and cake, and leave you with my weekend so far which included roller derby, cocktails, and a bit of a groggy head.
