What to Wear for a Burlesque Lesson…

Those of you who follow me on Twitter may have noted the outfit trauma I have been trying to deal with for the last week.

A friends Hen Party had been organised to include a lunch time picnic in Regents Park, an afternoon Burlesque lesson and drinks into the evening. Trying to find an outfit that works day to evening is hard enough, especially when walking on grass and sitting on the floor is required, but throw in a Burlesque lesson and you add a whole new layer of complicated.

My eventual solution? A silk tunic dress in beige with a black print, that was easy to move in, but short and fitted enough to still feel sexy, but not inappropriate for day. I shoved a pair of ballet flats into my Lulu Guinness tote bag to cover the walking on grass issue. All in all, a successful outfit! You can read more about the Burlesque Lesson in yesterdays post!

That dress is my new favourite I think, it’s silk and it was only Ā£5, in fact the whole outfit cost me under Ā£12 šŸ˜€
