Did you all have a lovely Bank Holiday Weekend?
There was actually some sunshine over the weekend, in between the torrential rain, and I took the opportunity on Friday to wear my new 1950s check sun dress.
I actually took these pictures this morning as I was too busy on Friday looking for things to fill my new Cocktail Cabinet, but I just couldn’t wait any longer to show it off.

I bought the dress about a week ago in an antiques market in town. I didn’t even try it on, but it fits like it was made for me. It says something about my body shape that I can spend all day on the High Street and find nothing that fits, but a 1950s vintage sun dress fits like a glove.
The colours on it are perfect for Spring. Sky blue and pastel pink checks make me think of blue skies and blossoms.
Also in the picture you can see some of the things I bought to fill up my cocktail cabinet. A set of 6 cute coloured glass 50s sundae bowls that are scarily delicate, but look adorable arranged on top and a cocktail jug, that looks 50s or 60s in style, but I can’t be sure. I also, of course, stocked up on some yummy liquers to make cocktails with.
Although it was sunny on Friday, I needed my handy fitted stretch denim jacket to keep out the chill.
Looking at these pictures also reminds me that Friday was the day I got refused service in a Wetherspoons pub as I didn’t have any ID. For the second time (though the first time I DID have ID so got served in the end)
I’m 31 in 2 weeks.
All I can say is if you need flattering lighting Wetherspoons is obviously the place to go….
