Behind the Scenes with Lady K Loves

Last week I took a little trip to Tunbridge Wells to the Spa Valley Railway.

But this was no jolly on a steam train. No. I was there with the wonderful Kessie of Lady K Loves shooting her new pieces for Autumn Winter.

The shoot has a glamorous, dark and mysterious film noir feel and the Spa Valley Railway was the perfect location. Steam trains aren’t as glamorous as they look, however, and we finished the day a bit grubby and tired.

It was definitely all worth it, though, just to spend time with Lady K’s gorgeous little dog. You can see all my photos from behind the scenes on Facebook

The weather was obediently grey and miserable, perfect for shooting Autumn Winter knitwear and coats. There are some gorgeous new lady like bits coming up for the new season. Personally I am lusting after the glamorous faux fur coat and elegant pencil skirt with goring at the back.

Keep your eyes peeled for a proper sneak preview of all the new pieces here at the end of August, in the mean time here’s a sneaky behind the scenes video of the shoot.

(note: The trousers are normal length, it’s model Holly’s legs that are insanely long!)

Steam trains are very romantic. I wouldn’t mind commuting so much if I had a table lamp and Miss Marple sitting opposite! Thank you for sharing x

Ah yes, they’re a bit grubby and noisy, but much more romantic!

Maybe we could have sleeper carriages for commuters?

I lie the romance of them

Wow, the shoot must have been an experience, I love the noir feel in fashion. And the train motif in misty weather is so “Anna Karenina”. Ok, maybe that was a bit too dark…

Can’t wait to see more pieces by Lady K on your blog!
