Ah, Monday morning.
Here it is again. Mondays are boring, so it’s far more fun to think about what I did at the weekend. The weekend here was calm, but overcast with a definite crisp autumnal chill in the air that required examining the contents of my hosiery drawer. It turns out all but one pair were laddered, so I spent Saturday in Red or Dead racing stripe tights, which I like, but wouldn’t normally wear with this outfit!
(Tip: If your stocking drawer needs stocking up (boom boom!) What Katie Did sell 3 pairs of seamed stockings for £10. I can’t figure out if you can access the offer through the regular site. I found it as I am an affiliate and the offer showed up in a banner on my dashboard, but you can definitely access it here.)

I really love this dress, it’s a 30s style 70s dress, but sadly at some point someone has shortened it. Personally I’d rather it was a few inches longer and came below knee length.
The Little Vintage Lover Fair was on at Dragon Hall on Saturday, so despite the lack of funds in my pocket I decided to head along and check it out. Prices were actually very reasonable, and there were some gorgeous homewares on sale as well as vintage clothes. That just made it worse, of course, but there’s another at Sussex Barns on the 14th November, so hopefully I’ll be a little better off by then (some hope!) Check out my Events Page for more details
Saturday afternoon was time for something of an annual tradition. The autumn picnic.
Every year in October or November, we say goodbye to Summer by heading out with a flask of chilli and some spiced cider. My spiced cider is a bit of a cheat, and I may tell you how to make it at some point if you’re lucky.
It’s really lovely sitting among the autumn leaves, collecting conkers and tucking into hot spicy goodies.
I’ll leave you with a couple of collages of nice autumnal photos I took in the afternoon.
