Halloween is 4 days away and I have a house full of rubber snakes that I need to figure out how to weave into my hair.

In the interests of experimentation I decided to play dress up and see if I can cobble together anything for some of the other costume suggestions.

I chose 3 that I actually had some things for in my wardrobe. Namely Anti Vampire Protester, Cat Lady and Absinthe Fairy.

Anti Vampire Protester

50s frock. Check.

Cheesy grin. Check.

God hates Fangs sign. Check

But somehow this still doesn’t quite work for me. I think the dress needs to be more on the pastels side of things and it would probably help to be blonde.

Cat Lady

I went for the least cat like dress I could find. The idea behind this one being to make the contrast between the cat head and the normal dress as obvious and surreal as possible. I have Claires Accessories cat ears and a black nose, but I still don’t think it’s surreal enough, I want a full cat head.

Like this.

Absinthe Fairy

Surprisingly I kinda liked this one in the end. It would need a bit of refining. Better hair, some good jewellery and an actual bottle of Absinthe instead of some vermouth would be a good start.

There’s just one downside. I can’t breathe in that dress at the moment and unless I can lose half a stone in 3 days it ain’t gonna happen.
