Vintage Inspired Autumn Shoes

It’s that time of year again. The time that I start trawling the shops for vintage inspired shoes for Autumn.

Summers deck shoes and keds just aren’t quite cutting it in the style stakes and something a little sturdier is required for rainy days and for teaming with stockings.

I generally like flats or something with a mid height chunky heel for Autumn. But I do like a slightly higher heel for evening. So I’ve trawled the shops, and these are my picks for vintage inspired shoes on the High Street for Autumn. I’ve tried to get a nice mix of the pricy and super cheap for every budget

Top to Bottom

Houndstooth Slipper Shoes – Ā£25.99 New Look – These are cute for a late 50s or 60s look and would look great with capri pants or pencil skirts

Caviar Toast Black Lace Ups – Ā£44.99 – Clarks – Good quality leather flats with a bit of a 20s feel.

H by Hudson ladies Wingtip – Ā£140 – Brogues are the ultimate autumn flat and look great for a 30s or 40s look. These should last you some time at this price!

Top to Bottom

Roxy – Ā£104.99 – Miss L Fire – You can rely on Miss L Fire for cute vintagey shoes, and these courts are perfect autumn day wear.

Camelia Club – Ā£39.99 – Clarks – Very reasonably priced and the brogue detailing and chunkier heel is great for day.

Nianta KS – Ā£115- Unisa – From my new favourite shoe brand. These have a 30s or 40s feel, much like the pair with the little bow that Office did last year.

Top left to Bottom Right

Qulia by Chie Mihara – Ā£198.90- Sarenza – Pretty shoes, pretty detailing. Chie Mihara make lovely shoes and these have a glamorous 20s deco feel. Now I just need to win the lottery.

Incense Bow Back Court by Melissa – Ā£95- ASOS – I just love Melissa heels. These also come in black and nude, but I have a soft spot for crazy fuschia.

Azizi Isla – Ā£59.99 – Clarks – The heel is too thin, but I think the front has a slightly 30s vibe. Would work just as well for a 50s or 30s look, or for daytime if you can walk in skinny heels without getting stuck in the pavement.

I love your shoe round up posts!!

I’ve tried 2 pairs of Miss L Fire shoes (one canvas sandal type and the recent leather Streamlined) and although I am a size 40 they’re just that teeny bit too big and I feel that the 39 will be too small. Anyone else find that?? (probably just me! LOL!)

I saw that burgundy boot from Clarks too but the heel put me off….wonder why they went for that when so many of their shoes have good sturdy heels to fit the vintagey vibe???

I’m currently trying to resist some grey Clarks shoes….(your last post MADE me go to their website and drool!) but my resolve is failing because I’ve been looking at Irregular Choice and Miss L Fire and the Clarks seem positively bargainous in comparison! LOL!

I’ll stop talking about shoes now…sorry about that. šŸ˜€

I adore the Azizi Isla from Clarks – but the heel stops me in my tracks. Such a shame šŸ™ Not that I *actually* have the money.

I was doing SO WELL at loving the lower-cost ones (e.g. those slipper pumps) and then I came across the Melissa’s. Weep weep weep, I am loving them. I do not have near on Ā£100 to spend on pink shoes though. (Falls weeping dramatically to the floor in a swoon. Denies overreacting).

PS. I actually like the Azizi heel. It has a scary power-dressing vibe to it which contrasts nicely with the pretty front.
