#janathon Day Two…..

Well. Today was a challenge. A long drive followed by a run in the dark, and the realisation part way there, while the rain hammered down, that I hadn’t bought my sort of waterproof-ish jacket. Or anything particularly reflective so I was going to end up running in the dark like a running ninja, leaping out unseen in front of cars in my black leggings and black top.

Fortunately my hair is currently bright blonde, so I’m sure that’s pretty reflective. I was also running on fairly quiet, well street lit roads, and I learnt how to look left and right before I crossed the road about 25 years ago.

And it stopped raining.

I only did a short one again. 1.2 miles which was twice round the block, plus a short pause to help up Reginald Runs who slipped on some muddy grass and got a boo boo.

I will do a few longer runs over the course of Janathon, but I don’t want to injure myself, having had problems with my hip flexors, shins AND achilles last Summer. So don’t think me too much of a wuss only running a mile!

So I returned home. Dry. Alive. Still looking like a running Ninja, albeit a rather smiley, speccy one. Then I ate chicken and vegetable frittata and felt all smug and healthy.
