Back in February I told you how my Netflix scepticism had transformed into an obsession.
I shared some of my top picks from Netflix at the time. Well since then I’ve found a whole host of other stuff to obsessively watch (and rewatch) over and over, so I thought it was time for another quick list.

Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries
I’ve mentioned my new obsession with this series a few times. If you’re a Poirot fan (and if you’re not, why not?) then you’ll likely love this. It’s an Australian detective series set in the 1920s with a Sassy female flapper detective as lead. I love how the relationship between the two main characters develops and the costumes and sets are just beautiful!
Marvel’s Daredevil
Everyone heard about this, surely? It’s a Netflix Original series based on the Daredevil story, it’s a lot darker than the film with Ben Affleck, and being a series has a lot more time for character development. I loved it, though I did spend most of the series wondering when THE SUIT was going to arrive. Well worth watching if you’re a fan of Super Heroes (Again, if not, WHY NOT?)

Red Dwarf
Classic 90s character driven comedy set in outer space. I’ve seen this a gazillion times but I can still rewatch it. There are 8 seasons on Netflix, the last 2 are pretty poor, but that still makes 6 good seasons to while away those dark Autumn evenings!
Brooklyn Nine-Nine
If you missed the first season of this show when it was shown on terrestrial television, never fear, you can catch up on Netflix. Season three is about to start in a few weeks, presumably in the US, so hopefully the UK will pick it up soon!
Adventure Time
Totally a kids show, absolutely. Not funny for grown ups at all. That’s a lie by the way. If you haven’t seen Adventure Time yet, WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN? There are 3 seasons on Netflix UK, and they’re handy little bite sized 10 minute episodes, perfect for a quick pick me up if you need cheering up.

Pumping Iron
Ok, bear with me here. This was suggested to me by our Roller Derby leagues trainer at the gym, and I stuck it on to watch when I was bored one night expecting to kill half an hour then turn it off.
Except I didn’t, I watched the whole thing. Then I made Mr Chick watch it, even though he didn’t want to, and he also loved it. It’s a weirdly compelling documentary about the 1975 Mr Olympia and Mr Universe competitions. It’s personality driven, rather than focusing on workouts and how many eggs they all eat for breakfast. It features Arnold Schwarzenegger before he was, well, before he was Arnold Schwarzenegger mega star which is a fascinating thing to watch. Honestly, give it a try, it’s weird but it works.
The Young and Prodigious T.S.Spivet
A film with a title seemingly designed to make it impossible to search for and spell properly in the Netflix search bar. Find it, it’s worth it. It’s one of those quirky, slightly off the wall but gentle kind of films. Helena Bonham Carter is in it if that helps explain it a bit better! It’s the story of a 10 year old boy with a passion for science who gets a letter from the Smithsonian telling him that his invention has won a prize. He then runs away on an epic cross-country mission to go and accept his award.
As ever, any Netflix suggestions from you guys always welcome!

Miss Fisher and Adventure Time – love both of those.
I just finished season 3 of Miss Fisher and I have to say my favorite relationship developing is the one between Phryne and Dot. They’re so balancing for each other.
