We’ve reached that in between stage already.
The one where all my winter coats are too heavy but light jackets are too light. When black seems too heavy, but I’m not quite into fresh florals and pastels just yet.
Lighter days are coming, but 2 days ago I was watching hail batter the windows of a hotel room. It’s the time of year when you need to be prepared for any and all eventualities.
Thankfully I have a dress made from knitwear. So I’m totally on it.
♠ Knitted Dress c/o F&F ♠ Fur Collar – From a Collectif Jumper ♠
♠Belt – M&S ♠ Shoes – Office Sale ♠ Cuff – Lulu Winter*♠
♠Brooch & Bracelets – vintage ♠
The knitted dress is a gift from F&F at Tesco, I would maybe prefer it without the side splits, and I momentarily considered sewing them up before I remembered the amount of clothes I can’t wear because I haven’t even bothered to sew buttons back on and that any kind of repair/alteration I claim I am going to do, I’m basically not, ever. So I wore it as it is.
The collar came off of a Collectif jumper, it slips around a little, so I pinned a little vintage frog brooch to it, and through the dress on the back so it holds it in place. Cunning, right?
I actually DID go out to take these photos without a jacket, but actually it’s probably not quite that warm yet, even with my cosy knitted dress. A lightweight coat is still in order, especially when the sun goes down! Still those jacket free days aren’t far off, I’m already finding myself having the obligatory annual “Oooh, isn’t it light out!” conversation with anyone I meet at around 6pm, and very soon we’ll be sitting in beer gardens and not worrying about running out of tights. Bliss.

Dammit! This was the OTHER dress I added to my F&F basket the other day, after seeing your tea dress from there! Still haven’t hit the “checkout” button because I really can’t justify it, but you’re definitely not making it easy – looks great on you, and I love the addition of the fur collar 🙂
Ha! Sorry 😀
Actually, I had that Collectif trench on my eBay watch list and then when you posted about it and am still eyeing it up as my “inbetween” coat!

Loving the woolly dress 😀
Can I be a nosy so-n-so and ask which size you got please?
I’m a largeish 14. What do ya reckon – M or L?
Fortunately we will soon be able to feel the warm and the spring coming over us. That will be a nice moment. Waiting for it for about half an year now.
I like it with the side splits – gives it a more wiggle dress shape. Nice! And please please can we have Summer soon!
