I hope you all enjoyed the glorious weather in the UK this weekend?
I won’t bore you with all my weekend at once, but it was a long one for me as I had a wedding to attend on Friday.
Those of you that follow me on Twitter may have noticed me wittering about pin curls for the last week. Well, the good news is they turned out ok on Friday and no emergency hair re style was needed. I teamed my fresh pin curls with this gorgeous cherry fascinator from my sponsor Abilu Creations. The green dress you’ve seen before, it’s Mulberry, but came from a Charity Shop and is perfect for hot summer days as it’s such a gorgeous lightweight silk.
Can you think of a better way to spend a sunny afternoon than posing in front of a large canon and trying to stop the slight breeze flashing your stocking tops to the men eating lunch in a van across the road? Probably you can.

You can’t really see the fascinator that well, because of the bright sunshine, so here’s a closer look. I absolutely love it. It’s really different, but not too showy like a massive hat. Sadly I managed to knock it off my head swing dancing at one point and someone trod on it, so my cherries are now slightly dented, but fortunately not too badly, so I can still wear it!
The wedding reception was themed like a cross between Willie Wonkas chocolate factory, Glastonbury, and something Heston Blumenthal might organise! There was a chocolate fountain, sweeties, edible wheat grass growing on the tables and colouring pens for us to decorate pieces of a jigsaw and, after the meal, chocolate delivered by an Oompa Lompa. Oh yes.
It was a magical day, topped off with a beautifully choreographed first dance by the Bride & Groom.
